We stayed at the Hotel Campiello for three nights in mid-May 2008. It is a charming hotel with a lobby and breakfast room on the ground floor and 14 guest rooms split between the first and second floors. It is located on a quiet alley one block from the Grand Canal, two blocks from Saint Marks Square and a one... more

This review relates to the apartments that families stay in at Hotel Campiello which are located right next door to the main hotel. As such, I can't comment on the service or the rooms at the Hotel as I did not experience it. However, I can comment on my stay in the apartment and it was fantastic. We were 4... more

We booked directly from David at the hotel over the phone and through email. There were two couples so we decided to save some money and stay in the apartment. When we arrived, our jaws dropped at how incredible this place was. The apartment itself was completely redone two yrs ago and everything was contemporary and had everything you could... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel while on our honeymoon. I'll be very fair: The location is great, you are in the near St. Mark's Square and walking distance from almost everything. The staff was nice enough and did try to accomodate our needs (which weren't too many). Be aware, however, that going to Venice during the high... more

This was a wonderful place to stay, so close to the Vaporetto stop & a short walk to St Marks, and yet down a quiet little alleyway, with no noise at night. The room we had wasn't huge, but was well laid out & fine for me & my mother for 4 nights. Very clean and modern throughout, excellent service.... more

Booked the Campiello direct and paid 130 Euros per night. For Venice in this location, this is very reasonable, about 300 yards from St Mark's Square. The hotel is less than 100 yards from the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop. We flew into the Marco Polo airport. In the concourse you can buy a three day pass for the vaporetto's (canal... more

We had booked a quadruple room and were upgraded, at no charge, to a fabulous and modern apartment which they have just recently added to their accomodations. The apartment had a kitchen, an American Size resort bathroom, a living room with comfy fold out couch and a master bedroom. Included with our room was a very complete continental breakfast in... more

We had a lovely room for our first night at the hotel. We were impressed by the decoration, the cleanliness and facilities. However, when we arrived back on the second day, we found we had been moved. We went to the reception and were told that this information had been given to us in an email, although nothing was said... more

We also found this hotel through Rick Steves' book, and were very happy that we did. After a long train ride from Rome and waiting at the vaporetto dock for what seemed to be an eternity, it was a pleasant surprise to find the hotel such a short walk from the Zaccaria stop. With lots of luggage, two kids in... more

We decided to stay here based on Rick Steve's book and we are glad we did. The owners were very friendly and helpful. All of their local restaurant recommendations were great. We stayed in Room #215 which is on the 3rd floor - don't worry there is an elevator/lift. The room was very clean and the bathroom was large for... more
