this was my second time in venice and second stay at locanda la corte. it's a beautiful little hotel in a quiet area. the rooms are large, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. the breakfast is lovely in the little courtyard, and the location is PERFECT - a 5 minute walk from the activities in piazza san marco but in a quiet... more

My family and I (2 kids) stayed at the Locanda La Corte in June of 08 for about 270 euro/night. We stayed in the "apartment" which had a kitchen and two separate sleeping areas. The room was nicely appointed and quaint, clean, and had hot water for the shower. The hotel itself has a very nice breakfast courtyard and common... more

The hotel was nice. Has a nice courtyard to eat your breakfast or eat inside. Small breakfast but doable with a coffee machine that doles out many different types. The hotel is from the 17th century and in Venice, so the floor was very crooked, but added to the charm. The wallcoverings were a padded material, very charming. There is... more

Myself and my husband stayed 4 nights in a double room (#118) at Locanda La Corte during March 2008. The staff were helpful from the very start and always promptly answered our queries over email. They have a very good website with plenty of photos, and bookings can be made online. The 16 rooms were arranged in groups on various... more

The Locanda La Corte is a Charming and quiet hotel. Situated a little away from the main sights - bring good walking shoes. We booked a junior suite, this turned out to be a three-roomed affair with luxurious green silk wallcoverings. Our windows opened directly above a canal, passing gondola passengers could be seen enjoying themselves. The room had a... more

We were in Europe for 30 days. Locanda La Corte was the highlight of our visit. We stayed four nights in the top suite, complete with full kitchen, large master with tons of closet space, all new. Everything was impeccable. Better yet, the management was exceptional--wonderful, friendly, helpful (Marco, the owner, even carried my suitcase up the stairs himself!)... The... more

We stayed here for one night and loved the quiet location, close to the water bus and well away from the throng in St. Mark's Square. I think it was a bit pricey (EU150) but I guess Venice is generally expensive. The breakfast was okay (not a patch on other breakfasts we have had in Italy), beds comfortable and the... more

This was the first stop on our honeymoon, and we enjoyed it. The hotel is off the beaten track, so relatively quiet, but still within a short walk of many major landmarks. We stayed on the first floor with a nice view out onto a canal -- only problem was the mosquitos, which forced us to keep the windows closed... more

In spite of the "large and sunny rooms" described in their web, some rooms are really tiny. Our room had scarcely space for the bed and a small wardrobe. I feel that the information provided in the web is not "precise". I would recommend confirming previously with the hotel the kind of room where you will stay. Other negative point... more

This property is lovely for a 3 star. It is a good value for the money, especially in Venice. It can be a bit tricky to find, so I suggest you take a water taxi from the train station or airport to find it initially. However, it is only minutes from both the Rialto bridge and St. Marks Square. The... more
