Very stripped down style, so not for you if you like "old fashioned luxury." But an excellent value--big rooms, real king size mattresses, up to date bathroom, nice shower. Neat and clean. Small staff but extremely friendly and eager to please. The barman even whipped us up a light, late supper (no restaurant in the hotel, only a small bar.) more

Boutique hotel around 10-15 minutes pleasant walk from the main sights of Padua. Elegant modern design, young and friendly reception staff, good if basic breakfast, scrupulously clean and decently sized rooms, eminently swipeable toiletries. The rooms improve as one goes up the building: third floor rooms have more light and better views and top floor suites good terraces. Excellent though... more

We spent a night from Dec 27 to Dec 28 in this highly recommended hotel, but what we saw was terrible. Being the only guests we were first sent to an "acqua room" with a "beautiful view" to the parking facilities and dirty walls and bathroom. We wanted another room and were given a famous "earth room" which was dirty,... more

My fiancee and I stayed at the Hotel Methis for one night on a long weekend to Northern Italy, and I'd heartily recommend it. We stayed in one of the junior suites on the fourth floor, themed as 'air' - the room was very comfortable, and the theme was noticeable but not oppressive. The junior suite was made even more... more

I stayed here for a week in October 2007, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The whole hotel is stylish in modern minimalist style, yet very comfortable. The (double) room I had was sizable, extremely quiet, spotless and very well appointed, right down to the flat-screen TV. Breakfast was served either in my room (and arrived exactly on time) or downstairs in... more

Excellent hotel. Its design is quite interesting even though the theme of the four element is well known. Breakfast is good and the staff is ok. What we appreciated the best was the total absence of noise. We slept as weel as we did not made for months. The position is just in front of the Galileo' s "Specola". more

Methis hotel looks great at first sight: the lobby (with a sofa area and a bar) and restaurant are beautiful, with great design. Each floor has a theme: fuoco (fire), acqua (water), terra (earth), aria (air). My room was on the fire floor, everything was orange. It's not really beautiful, with a kind of Ikea design for the furniture, but... more

My wife and I went to Padua for the week-end and stayed at the Methis. I would recommend it: it is above the Italian standards for a mid/high class hotel. The hotel is clean, private parking space is available (an asset indeed!), service is friendly and several (Italian) papers are available at breakfast. Rooms are fine (incl. bathrub, towels, foam... more

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, and found it to be lovely. The town itself is absolutely beautiful, and the hotel in within walking distance to the centre. I had an earth room on the 1st floor - all browns/fawns/beiges. The room was quite small, but really nicely decorated. The bathroom was amazing, the shower was huge, and... more

Padova is a beautiful city. Really Italian: small streets, old buildings, nice terrasses, friendly people and good food. The hotel is just outside of the old centre. Really beautiful spot and close to everything! You can walk everywere, but you also get bikes from the hotel. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The staff was very kind. We really liked... more
