Expensive for what you get in quality, but it is at a great location right next to the Duomo and the major shopping area. Rooms were tiny and decor felt cold. Will opt for other hotel next time. more

330 euros a night and they don't supply an iron. Guests are instead advised to leave their creased garments out for the laundry service at 9am and you'll have them back by 8pm. No use if you're staying one night and at 8 euros an item, expensive. I walked about Milan creased for 2 days out of principle. Further evidence... more
Just come back from a three day shopping trip to Milan with my daughter. I was a bit afraid booking the Straf, we usually stay in classic hotels but I wasn't disappointed! If you are going to Milan for shopping, it's the perfect spot : close to corso vittorio emmanuele, just across the street you have an entrance to the... more
We stayed at the Straf in May and had a really enjoyable time; the hotel itself is a boutique style hotel with minimalist design. Very dark interior, black walls, black doors in room. We had a room with a massage chair, which was great! Also safe and minibar. Great location next to Duomo and Galleria also just across from Straf... more
The hotel is in an extremely convenient location, literally a block away from the Duomo and the galleria. The rooms are ultra modern and simple with stark concrete walls and a copper bathroom. We thought it was rather cool, but the esthetics will not please everyone. If you are expecting something cozy with fluffy pillows and comforter, this is NOT... more
o.k, so in Milan terms this hotel is pretty cheap so I won't be too harsh! If you want a basic, central stay in a "hip" spot then this may be the place for you. The service at reception is fine, don't expect a turn down service or anything above and beyond though. The rooms are my bone of contention.... more
Small boutique type hotel with minimalistic design. Great location next to Duomo and Galleria. Walking distance to all shopping, Duomo, La Scala, Brera. Good value for money in the middle of Milan more
Let's be clear about one thing: this is Milan. It isn't Florida so doesn't have rooms larger than your house. It isn't a place to stay in and watch a movie (even if the TV cables are the trendiest you have ever seen). It doesn't have identikit rooms with copious fabric curtains and beds that are primarily designed to keep... more
I stayed in this hotel for two days in April with my mum. We were in Milan mainly for the design week and shopping. Hotel is in great location next to Duomo and Galleria, and I mean adjacent. You are walking distance to all shopping, Scala, Brera, Duomo, etc. The hotel is a small boutique type hip and trendy hotel.... more
Hotel Straf is superbly located. Everything in the hotel follows a design. Our room was nice although it was obvious that design was in the center of attention. Breakfast was good, at least for Italian standards. Staff was very helpful and very friendly (but poor housekeeping). We enjoyed the bar in the hotel (the athmosphere and the drinks, not the... more
