We stayed here for a few days at the end of June after finishing a stint of school in Italy. The location near the train station was fantastic (our party had a lot of luggage) and the directions provided by Loredana to get to the B & B were spot on. Staying near Termini was a great location for us... more

I cannot say enough good things about Maryelen B&B! We were greeted with such warmth & genuine friendliness. Our room was not ready when we arrived, so Loredana arranged for us to stay one night in her sister's B&B. Johanna was a hoot! We stayed there and she was hugging & kissing us Ciao when we left the next morning.... more

I agree with most of the other reviews. Loredana and her family were very friendly, enthusiastic, and welcoming. We arrived very early in the morning (9am) and were welcomed to breakfast and shown to our room--we were expecting only to be able to leave our bags! Breakfast was mostly store-bought stuff, but the all-you-can-drink espresso and cappuccino was a big... more

Having read the generally favourable reviews of La Casa de Maryelen I decided to book 5 nights via the website venere.com. Everything was pretty much as other guests have reported, i.e clean rooms, friendly owners (and their daughters), great location close to Termini railway station (although the area is supposed to be seedy can't say I had any problems). The... more

Have stayed at this delightful B&B twice, last June (2007) for one night en-route to Naples, and latterly we celebrated the New Year in Rome (as we have done for 5 years now!) and spent 3 nights at 'Maryelen', having enjoyed our previous stay so much. Quite simply, if you want a clean and friendly place to stay in the... more

A few bad things about the experience: -Found a very large dead insect in the shower -Tried to have us pay for THREE rooms when we only requested 1 ( yet after a longg discussion it was finally resolved) -Found that the other places we stayed at for similar prices deserved a better rating. Some good things: -Convenient for those... more

Accommodations for the price were extremely fair. The location is convenient to Termini train station and walkable to most of the city sites. We had no problems or concerns listed in other reviews - bathroom size, noise, etc. What made the stay special was the friendly and helpful hostess. We only stayed two nights and had to leave before breakfast... more

The Maryelen B&B is a pretty good value choice for Rome. It's in one of the quieter and nicer streets near Termini railway station, the rooms are a decent size with an en suite, and the owner is delightful - extremely welcoming, enthusiastic and helpful. The only down sides were being woken up fairly early, around 7.30am, when breakfast was... more

I stayed at this B&B for 4 nigths while in Rome. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the train station which made it very convenient to get there with luggage. The room was clean and average size. The bathroom was a little on the small size, but manageable. The host was AWESOME. We had breakfast there everymorning, and... more

After reading many positive reviews on multiple websites, I booked this b&b for my recent stay in Rome. A friend and I couldn't have been happier with our stay here, especially at the price. Our room was hotel-caliber at a much cheaper rate. The b&b is close to Termini Station, which is great in that when you arrive with your... more
