On arrival this looked to be a lovely guest house, but then we quickly realised that it was not going to be the relaxing experience we had hoped. Room 7 was sandwiched between the kitchen, the dining area and the door leading to the car park, and the noise was absolutely ridiculous. We were awakened by the doorbell late at... more

We stayed at Donnybrook Hall for 2 nights and had a fantastic stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were travelling as a family- 2 Adults and 3 Children (4,6&8) and they couldn't have done anymore for us. They arranged for us to arrive a night early at very short notice, which meant rearranging their rooms but they... more

Just came back from Dublin; stayed 5 nights in Donnybrook Hall. Room and the bathroom were great (also cleaned every single day!) but the best thing was the service, especially with the breakfast. You were served individually and could ask what ever you wanted (try the french toast, yum!). Great area, quiet and clean, and not too far from the... more

I just spent 8 nights at Donnybrook Hall and loved it. As a frequent traveler to Ireland for business, I have been staying at different places to find my "Irish home" and I just found it. Extremely friendly staff, great breakfast options, tea and coffee all day and bright airy rooms makes this a gem in Dublin. All manner of... more

We stayed in Donnybrook Hall in December and had a great time. The room was lovely and bright and very clean, Terry and his staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to order. Donnybrook Hall is only five minutes by bus from all that Dublin has to offer, there are some lovely restaurants in... more

We're just back from Dublin & stayed in the B&B for 6 days. The Donnybrook Hall is very comfortable and we have never experienced such an incredible service before. We stayed there with a group of 13 people for a convention, we enjoyed the service from the owners (arranging taxi's, organizing breakfast on every hour we asked, even early) After... more

We stayed here for one night while visiting our daughter in Dublin and found the location very handy, walked to downtown, St. Stephens Square in about 20 - 25 minutes. Room # 10 outside in the back yard was private and comfortable. Terry, the owner and host was very friendly and helpful, watch the parking rules on the street so... more

Located aprox 20 mins from city centre via local transport it was very convenient. I found the place very clean with beautiful garden area and breakfast provided great choice. No Room available, No place to park! Has a reputation for over-booking! They did make other arrangements for us that were adequate but the inconvenience of finding this place and then finding the new place wasn't a pleasant experience. Then they didn't feel they owed me my "advanced booking fee" back. So they still owe me 3.60 Euros! Very hard... more

Like other reviewers have mentioned, the Donnybrook Hall Hotel definitely looks better in pictures on its website. It is located about 10 minutes from the city centre by bus and is nestled in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Unlike most B&Bs, conditioning shampoo and shower gel were provided, which was a definite plus point, as was the new shower jets which... more
