Having stayed at the hotel I wonder what constitutes a 4* hotel. The hotel is listed as being full refurbished in 2007. I disagree with this claim. Wow.... Holme Lea Manor is so fantastic!! They were having the hall decorated and the whole house looks new and contempory. We stayed at HolmeLea Manor in June and found it on the internet. The room was freshly decorated, clean and spacious. Breakfast was more than enough for me and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Conveniently situated for the centre of York.
