stayed here when visiting family at christmas time when we arrived we noticed that there wasnt very much parking, but found a space and ran in to check in and get the parking permit, which cost £10, £5 of which you get back. There was however a large multistorey just next door that hotel users could also park in witht... more

It's a Travelodge for goodness sake!I am widely travelled and have stayed in much better places as well as much worse. It does the job-inexpensive,functional,clean.The corridors that someone complained about are no different from most other hotels, and the breakfast was better than the one I had in the Holiday Inn in France at which I stayed recently. To the person who complained... more

I am finding it somewhat hard to comprehend some of the awful reviews on this site regarding this hotel. We liked it! We booked online in advance, paying just £19 for the night, and getting discount on breakfast (I believe it's 10% off when booking online). We walked from the train station to the hotel, and found it with no... more

I stayed in here for 1 night only, which was a real bonus. I arrived at the hotel at about half past one where i was advised that although my room was ready that it would be an extra £10 to book in early. Company was paying so that didn't bother me too much but what happened to the legendary... more

I stayed for 2 nights at the Travelodge in Cambridge. I will probably not stay there again. Although the staff were friendly enough, the hotel had a real feel of being an overpriced hostel. Payment for the stay had to be made upon check-in. The corridors of the hotel seemed like a hospital or some other kind of institution. The... more

Having read previous negative reviews, I can only surmise that those contributors are not familiar with the travelodge concept - ie cheap and basic. Very central, about 10 mins walk from train station and city centre, and next to several restaurant and bar chains, bowling alley, cinema and theatre complex, so I can accept that perhaps it can be busy... more

I've only stayed at the hotel for one night but I am dreading the rest of the week. From the moment I drove in, things appeared to be awkward. First of all parking, no spaces were available, it was lucky I was only checking in. I managed to block someone in while I checked in, fortunately they did not come... more

I've stayed here a few times. Cheap for the location and though decor is sparse the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the TV is a good size. Much better value than some of the 'hotels' around Cambridge. more

One of the worst stays I've ever had in a hotel and I've stayed in a lot. Under no circumstances stay here at the weekend - it was like a war zone. Awakened regularly throughout both nights by drunks running up and down, shouting and screaming both outside the hotel (it's in a 'leisure' area with nightclubs) and outside our... more

We booked a room for a family of four, but bedding for only three people was provided, and towels and mugs for two. Then we found that there are no phones in any of the rooms (new policy, it seems), so that makes requesting the bedding/towels etc wholly inconvenient. Someone has to go down to reception to get these items... more
