The Grand Hotel & Suites on Jarvis Street is a couple blocks east of Eaton Centre in downtown Toronto. Perhaps because it's slightly off the main streets this hotel has good rates, includes a very nice complimentary buffet breakfast (hot and cold food) and free parking - a rarity in any big city. My daughter & I were upgraded to... more

My husband and I stayed at The Grand June 21, 2008. After reading and reviewing their website, we decided that we would stay in the Jacuzzi Suite. When we arrived at the hotel there was no valet out front, and I think we seen one on the day we left. The entrance and lobby looked nice and the check in... more

Well my stay at The Grand Hotel was good, it could have been better in many ways. I stayed at this hotel due to a special Dinner held at the Four Seasons Hotel, which was a magnificent event. I needed to stay somewhere nice for the night with a good value. So I decided to stay at The Grand, due... more

We stayed at this hotel for a 3 day business meeting. The rooms appeared worn and old. The bed mattress was really saggy and the room smelled of smoke. I agree with others, the front desk staff were helpful and friendly but the wait staff appeared bored and distracted. At more than one lunch, our plates were repeatedly taken away... more

Stayed there for one night last weekend with my husband and 2 year old. Valet parking attendant was great and helped us with our luggage. Check in staff were friendly and efficient. The room wasn't bad but looked a little dated and in need of some updating. The sheets on the bed had holes in them so we changed rooms... more

I have read thousands of reviews about this hotel and was wondering wether or not to stay here. I decided to book it and chose a Junior Suite. When we arrivied in Toronto, I saw the hotel was in a bad neighborhood. It looked bad but I soon discovered we would not go through it much and could easily use... more

We stayed at the Grand for two nights during the March Break. I was travelling wit h 3 teenagers and wanted a nice hotel with a pool and breakfast facitlities that was fairly central. I booked a junior suite because I thought it would be roomier. The room was alright but not suited to our needs. The sofa bed was... more

If you are a business traveller avoid this place at all costs! Here is why: There are certain things that a business traveller needs: a comfortable bed, noise isolation, a room with comfortable temperature, reliable internet access and even on-demand movies. This hotels lacks all of those items. Apparently this was an RCMP building that was converted into a hotel... more

A beautiful old fashioned lobby with amazing flower displays and helpful attentive staff. on reception. When we arrived there was an issue with our booking and we were given complimentary drinks while we waited. Unfortunatley the bar staff and door staff could both learn a lesson from their colleagues! The suite was great with lots of space for four adults... more

I let almost a year slip by before writing a review for this hotel. In short, excellent! Service, staff, acommodations, food - everything was above expectations. Breakfast was divine, as were the cocktails, the rooftop views and the pool area. I wish all hotels were like this one. more
