This hotel was very nice. We stayed there one night, prior to boarding a cruise ship for a 7 night Northbound Cruise to Alaska. We checked in just before midnight, hence there weren't any lines. We had two adjoining rooms which both had a kitchen for in room dining. The rooms were well appointed with a sofa and two beds.... more

Good position, half hour walk from cruise terminal.Very well appointed rooms with fridge, dishwasher, toaster, oven and general kitchen utensils.Large room with 3 seater settee, very comfortable queen beds. Some reception staff rather surly and off hand.Hotel used extensively by the big tour companies. There is extensive very loud construction work on two sides of the hotel from 0730 to about 1730 on weekdays and by the... more

The rooms were large and had a great little kitchenette. The beds were very comfy with lots of pillows both feather and sponge. There was a delightful cafe for dinner and lunches and the inclusive breakfast was a large buffet with eggs, pancakes or french toast, hasbrowns and every imaginable continental-style choice you could possibly desire. Help yourself to as... more

Booked through Kayak search and Skoosh had the lowest rate of $94 plus tax. This was a terrific value as I checked with Marriott and their lowest rate was $209 plus tax. The hotel is situated a half block off Davie street, which is a major thouroughfare in the heart of the gay district. Walking the streets at night wasn't... more

I stayed at the Residence Inn for business for a few days. It was fine. Nothing special. But clean and safe. There is free internet which was good. The breakfast was very large but quality was just okay. Front desk staff were nice but I had a couple of requests that were never fulfilled. I forgot to bring toothpaste and... more

Can't fault the staff - all were extremely friendly keeping up the good name of Canadian service. The hotel itself is tired, a bit dirty and freyed around the edges. It's just franchisee under-investment, that experienced travelers will recognise along with the musty smell: Room "kitchens" (bedsit style) look like they haven't been updated in 15-20 years, & the bathrooms... more

My work sees me frequent Vancouver city centre hotels frequently, and I have stayed in most hotels in the area. This hotel is very well maintained, has large functional well appointed rooms, a very good complimentary breakfast, a professional and cheerful staff, and is spotless. The kitchen area even has a dishwasher!! The only slight downside would be the location,... more

Stayed here twice in September and most impressed on both occassions. Rooms clean, large and with well equipped kitchenette. Complimentary breakfast OK but more suited to North American tastes than to ours. The patio area outside the dining room for breakfast much appreciated by smokers (like me). Otherwise entire hotel is non-smoking. We had no problems with noise (in front... more

We arrived tired after a 5 hour trip to Heathrow, a 9 +hour flight and a hair raising taxi ride, and the reception staff were friendly, welcoming and very quick to check us in, which was exactly what we needed. The lobby may not be as impressive here as some hotels I've stayed in, but it's quite homely and the fire... more
