We stayed at the Riu Palace five years ago for our honeymoon. Nothing could have made that vacation any better. Awesome hotel, this was our 2nd time there. The service was the BEST of any hotel I've EVER stayed in. The food was GREAT, pools and beach were awesome. The accomodations were very good and roomy. We just got back from Riu Palace Mexico and we took 24 of our family and friends for our 50 th wedding anniversary. It was excellent, in check in, room service, pools, beaches, restaurants, every part of our trip was excellent. Transfer from airport and everything went extremely well. Riu palace was absolutely amazing! We went for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. There were 24 of us and we all loved it. The food was decent. I have to be honest, I was skeptical about vacationing in Mexico, let alone an all inclusive resort vacation (all inclusive makes me think of young students on spring break). This was my first trip to Playa and to the Riu Palace Mexico. It was absolutely incredible. The Riu Palace Mexico is a solid 4 star resort. Great service, food, and location are it's strong points. The room was comfortable, but the beds are too firm; and the bathroom was small. As a family of 3 with a college bound son, we loved this place, and will return. more
