I stayed overnight on Nov. 3/07. The hotel is an oasis in what appears to be a poor neighbourhood. The staff, especially the manager, Alfonso were very helpful with directions on how to get around Cancun. The room had a queen sized bed, television, desk and chair and of course separate bathroom. Everything was immaculately clean and they gave me... more

good clean hotel with friendly and English speaking front desk. the room I've gotten had AC leaking - no problem I was moved in another one in 5 min. location is not the best, but they povide shuttle at reasonable cost, there is taxi and bus stop next to hotel. it is ~15 min to Cancun center by bus and... more

Hotel Terracaribe if great if you want to stay away from the tourist area. Rooms are clean, comfortable and very spacious. Hotel staff is great and very friendly. Eventhough they hotel has no beach the guest have access (for about $5USDper person) to the "Club de Playa" on the hotel zone, and the hotel van drops you and picks you... more

My husband and I stayed here one night, after arriving at Cancun airport at 6:30 pm. We left the next day for 9 days for Merida, the Puuc Route, Chichen Itza, Valladolid, Coba and Tulum. The Terracaribe was very hard to find, even though it's on a very busy main drag in downtown Cancun (NOT to be confused with the... more

clean hotel with decent amenities at the intersection of two major roads a bit at the edge of downtown. even though i stayed on the side of the hotel away from the road and had only a small window facing the court yard., the noise from the road still wafted in. need to take bus (right outside, apparently runs 24/7)... more

This hotel is downtown which didn't bother me as there are a lot of inexpensive restraunts and taco stands near by. I have been to Cancun before and wanted to stay away from the tourist zone and get some culture on this trip. The area has some apartment buidings which we called the projects near by with some grafitti. The neighborhood... more

We spent one night at Terracaribe in Dec. 2006. The room was nothing fancy, but very clean, it had TV, cable, phone and AC. The bathroom was also very clean. The hotel is in the downtown area, so not on the strip of (terrible) hotels mushroomed on the beach area. Most of all, the hotel was great value for the... more

We spent the first two nights of our stay in Cancun at the Terracaribe, because we had to arrive two days before the rest of my family, who had rented several rooms in a Hotel Zone hotel. The location of the Terracaribe isn't terribly convenient to anything you might want to see in downtown Cancun, so you will have to... more
