I've traveled all over Latin America and Europe and usually do it on a budget, so this is one of the more expensive hotels I've stayed in. I wanted to treat myself. Not much of a treat. The staff is friendly and exceedingly helpfu--for example checking on a leak from my window in the room immediately, moving me from one... more

I stayd at the Victoria for 2 nights. This hotel can boast a beautiful setting, on the slopes of a hill dominating the town of Oaxaca. It's not close to the city centre, but the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service to reach it. The hotel is nice, but it is definitely not a 5 stars hotels as advertised.... more

After a horrendous flying experience with Delta, we were extremely happy to arrive at the Hotel Victoria on Feb. 17 2007. Staff were warm and welcoming, the restaurant's Oaxacan sampler appetizer and cold cervezas were just what we needed, and the room (a junior suite) was cool and spacious enough for two adults and two children. This is a great... more

I was in Oaxaca for two nights on business. The hotel lacks wireless, except in the lobby and restaurant area. The beds were hard but I've had worse. When I first turned on my shower, all brown rust/dirt water flowed out but then it turned clear. Shower quickly. The rooms were quiet at night. There was construction going on during... more

Although this hotel is slightly out of town--on a hill ovderlooking Oaxaca--it is such good value that the $3 0r $4 taxi ride is easily written off. We stayed in a villa in the grounds which was quite well appointed for the price with sufficient wardrobe space for my daughter and myself and a respectable sized bathroom. The pool area... more

Highly overrated and overpriced! This hotel is shabby and the rooms are in need of repair. The carpets were dirty. Tour groups stay here and one from Italy partied all night one night and no one could sleep. The food is mediocre and overpriced. Look elsewhere - Parador San Miguel. more

We stayed in the Hotel Victoria for 4 nights in August 2005. Because we had our teen-aged daughter with us, we requested a junior suite. I would would suggest doing that even with only two people in your group because the junior suites are large and pleasant rooms with great views. I also requested a no-smoking room but evidently did... more

We began a 7-day stay in Oaxaca at the Hotel Victoria and for our purposes, it was a perfect beginning. The hotel is large and not especially personal, but our large room in one of the villas was very comfortable, the water hot and plentiful, and the closet was very large. After escaping from months of hard work, we were... more

Visited the wonderful city of Oaxaca with my wife. Stayed at Hotel Victoria (recomended by a guide book). Staying 7 nights at Victoria was too much for our nerves. The room was very small. Airconditioning was not efficient enough, the fan was hanging dangerously low. Wardrobe was absolutely too small. The expensive breakfast was served in an open air restaurant... more
