My boyfriend and I went to Calinda Beach a week during christmas time and we had a great time. What we didn't like: -The food was repetitive and not always warm. -The beach had dangerous waves. But we went to the Gloria beach which is 30 minutes from the hotel. There was a big difference: nice sand and wave. -The... more

We had a great ocen view room and it was spectacular. Overall, clean and the staff was friendly and courteous. Not all of the staff speaks English but there was a lady at the lobby who speaks pretty good English and was very patient in providing some tourist information. Also, there was a tour agent adjacent to the lobby area... more

We just arrived back from Calinda Beach. First off, the hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to a lot of things, and if you need to take a taxi we didn't pay more than $50 pesos (about $5). The service was excellent as well. . .very friendly and willing to help. The employees try to do their best... more

A Minimum security prison is the best way to describe my experience at this hotel. I will start off by saying that the rooms, the pool bartenders, and the view from the balcony is what I enjoyed about the hotel. Everything else is a horrible experience. The biggest pet pieve is that you could not even bring a bottle of... more

My daughter and I stayed at The Calinda Beach in early Febraury. Although an e-mail acquaintance had called ahead for us and put in a request for an ocean/bay-view room and had been told we'd have one (thanks Zzzaaa), we had to do some "talking" at the front desk at check-in to get it. The room was clean and did... more

After staying at a terrible five star property in Cancun I felt like I had to give this hotel some credit. The location was Ideal. The room much nicer than our last and the atmosphere was great. My only complaint was that the ocean was a bit dirty in the bay. more

We just got back from Acapulco. We rented 2 rooms at Calinda Beach for 2 nights, and we were a group of 10. Just to let you know, it's pretty difficult trying to sneak extra people in the rooms because everyone gets a bracelet that they have to wear the whole time. With some convincing, they allowed us to fit... more
