Villa Vera is located on a hill and the 10 minutes walk from the main street wasn't a big deal for us, although in the extreme humidity and high heat it could be a challenge for someone. We stayed in a regular hotel room (they also have bigger separate units). The original room they gave us was for smokers and... more

We ve stayed here on / off for years..but we ve now decided not to untill management improves. Positives first, security at the main gate, bellman, most waiters, bartenders all still very nice. There appear to be some new people at reception, who are not as welcoming and friendly as those of before. My sister and I were there on... more

Just returned from a long weekend w/ friends at the Villa Vera. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are very well maintained, and the staff was very attentive! We had a 2 bedroom villa w/ our own private pool - the rooms were lovely and the views were spectacular. Everything was very clean. We spent a lot of time... more

I went to Villa Vera with 3 girlfriends to celebrate my upcoming wedding. We spent a long weekend in Acapulco at Villa Vera. We are all very seasoned travelers especially in Mexico. Acapulco is a well kept secret now. It was a hot spot and is now the jewel of the country. I have been to all of the resort... more

This resout is very charming and full of history. We had a very average room with no view but there were villas that were beautiful and we would love to stay in one of these. The staff were friendly and most spoke good english. The spa is very nice and has great treatments. One of the best aspects is its... more

We had a good stay here but I'm not sure it offers many advantages over the hotels on the beach unless you use your RCI points to go there. Villa Vera is about 5 blocks off of the beach. We walked it but it is a steep hill. We went to VV through RCI and the RCI rooms are at... more

Stayed at the Villa Vera, May 14-21. From the start, we were treated wonderfully. The ladies in the front office were cordial and very helpful. We asked countless questions about the city, restuarants, tours, etc. and I can't say enough about the way that we were treated. In fact, the entire staff of the resort was great. There are about... more

I have been going to Acapulco for 11yrs and we usually stay on the beach..Last year we decided to try the villa vera, liked it so much that we went back this year. It's about a 5-10 minute walk of the main avenue up the hills a bit and is nice and private. This hotel is not your typical high... more
