The hotel is very beautiful and large, however it did feel like we were the only people there. I would stay here again but only for a few days due to it being far from town centre (not within walking distance) and the lack of atmosphere. The place was covered in art which varied from terrible, to very good, but... more

I'm going to try to be generous here, but I think I speak for a large contingent of the 52 people who stayed here for 4 days that this was lackluster in so many many ways. We cannot blame the poor roads and the lack of infrastructure (making our journey from Kingston Airport in a minibus a full five hours... more

The Jamiaca Palace Hotel is a massive white building that gives the impression of a colonial hotel. The place is full of art from who knows where. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel's grounds are lush tropical gardens and are well kept. As far as safety goes, there is a guard 24/7, but Port Antonio is perfecly... more

We ended up at the Jamaica Palace by coincidence, having checked out of the Great Huts down the road. It's an amazing looking place - it was apparently built in the 1980s but looks older. The buildings and grounds were absolutely immaculate in every way. There is art and scuptures displayed everywhere - on every wall and corridor and inside... more

When no one from the hotel answered both my e-mails for a reservation, I booked it through Travelocity. Just 2 nts., our first time in PA, 26th trip to JA. We were told we had no reservation but when they realized we hadn't paid Travelocity for the room, they had 1 "lucky" room. The resort is lovely, but underused. The... more

I loved this hotel - it has to be seen to be believed! The rooms are nicely appointed (although the air-con is a bit on the noisy side). The overall ambience is brilliant - really quirky - art and caged birds around every corner - the swimming pool in the shape of jamaica. They really go the extra mile in... more

We had the pleasure of staying at the Jamaica Palace Hotel for one night in March. A unique palatial experience. We felt as though we were royalty. Friendly staff and beautiful accommodations and surroundings. The owner made us the best cup of Blue Mountain coffee we ever tasted. We can't wait to go back for a longer stay. more

The hotel reminded me of a pretentious golf course in North Carolina or a mega-funeral home. The common areas, hallways and rooms are mainly in good taste, sometimes very charming - like the tropical bird caged in an atrium. The outdoor patio is huge and the chess board pattern creates a bizarre and disturbing feeling that could trigger an epileptic... more

The hotel is not your usual tourist resort. This is where you go if you want to get away from tourist hustle and enjoy privacy in beautifully landscaped grounds. Very nice owners and managers. Good value. Food was okay; dinner service was below par (red or white wine?). Loved the place until my mobile phone was stolen from the room.... more

The hotel was beautiful. Although it was not our first choice, we were happy. The staff that greated us was very helpful. I called many times before arriving to confirm various details and they were always helpful. I suggest speaking with Lorna at the front desk. I also suggest including breakfast with your room as their breakfast can be a... more
