We stayed at this hotel in April 2008 and ii have to say it was so beautiful. The people were amazing and so friendly. These people could teach the world about hospitality, service and how to treat guests. We left our waiter a tip everyday as these guys earn a pittance for what they do.The food was fantastic every day,... more

We were there for our grandson's wedding (see travel blog) and overall the experience was positive. As far as the hotel is concerned, the staff is very accomodating and work hard to keep you happy. We booked 6 rooms and they upgraded the wedding couple to a suite. We all thought the buffets were very well done considering the amount... more

Just returned from our stay at the Riu Tropical Bay. After reading some of the bad reviews before we went, our fears were put to rest. It is a great beach front resort. The whole facility and staff are excellent.Vacations are what you make of them.Small problems should not be made out to be the end of the world. Those that... more

My husband and I stayed at the Riu Tropical Bay from April 26 - May 3/2008. We flew from Toronto, it was a 3.5 hour flight. we have stayed at Riu Caribe, Riu Bambu and Riu Palace Cabo. We landed at about 9:00pm and finally arrived at the hotel around midnight. The drive to the hotel was interesting. Our driver... more

We have just returned from RTB on Wednesday, and what can I say,...... if you don't enjoy yourself here, you will definatly not enjoy yourself anywhere! We arrived at Montego Bay airport and had to wait for at least an hour to get through imigration, which was a hassel seeing as we live in England and had gone back six... more

It was the first time in Jamaica for myself and my husband and I have to say we were expecting a lot! The RIU Hotel did not disappoint it is ideally situated on the beach front and we had no problems obtaining sun lounges at any time of the day. This was our second trip to Negril...this time for our honeymoon. The Riu Tropical Bay was a very nice resort that needs to few updates ( which this resort will close in August 08 for remodeling). The rooms were a little older and seemed to have a musty smell. Which we took candles as recommended from past reviews and this... more
