This hotel is unbelievably bad. The pool is murky and gross. The hotel itself is miles from anywhere you want to be (nothing to walk to). The web site says they have cribs, but when we arrived and asked for one, the check-in person looked at us like we were crazy. The "restaurant" food is mediocre. Then, to top it... more
I would not recommend this resort. It is very inexpensive and basically, you get what you paid for. There are no vending machines but ther is a ice machine. If you are thirsty in the middle of the night, you are on your own. Another reason you are on your own is because the restaurant closes early and the bar... more
The perfect place for a small outdoor wedding ...beautiful view and nice dining room. As for the rooms...ours needed a little extra cleaning...which was done when I asked. The drapes, bedspreads and lamp shades were in desperate need of replacement. But in all our room wasn't that bad just needed updating. Dining was overpriced and very slow!!! Food wasn't bad,... more
this place has so much potential, however my experience was quite different than the other visitor. My husband and I were also there in December. The view and seclusion is great. My wife and I, our son and his friend stayed at this lovely property in december 2003. It is situated in lovely countryside just west of the hustle and bustle of montego bay. we arrived about 8 pm and right away we were in awe of the most spectacular view of the cityscape and the cruise ship harbour. to me,... more
My wife and I just did a last-minute trip to Jamaica and stayed at the Emerald Escape Resort. We knew based on the prices that this wouldn't be a luxury hotel, but we had read a good review on this site so we thought it would be fine for a last-minute getaway. We knew as soon as I got home... more
We vacationed for our 40th anniversary at this beautiful, quiet resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica during Nov 5-12, 2003. Because of it being relatively new to the resort scene and only having a couple of stars it was quiet, yet centered for all Jamaica touring. The food was definitely 5 star. Chef Howard fixes meals from a relatively small menu... more
I stayed during off season when the hotel was not overbooked. I was placed in a room where the toliet did not flush, the bathtub leaked into the hallway, and there was pigeon droppings on the balcony. The ower apolozied and my room was changed. 9:30 breakfast did not begin until after 11:00 am. I as not compensated for the... more
