After reading the previous review, we were very concerned about the construction, but thankfully, when we arrived, it had been completed. The Madeariman fit our personal preference--low-key, clean room, literally, steps from one of the most pristine beaches I've ever seen. It is not luxurious, but it had what we needed, including a/c, cable television, a small fridge, and microwave.... more

We had enjoyed Madeariman Beach Club last year a lot, but this year (Jan 2007) it seems to have taken a turn for the worse. We were not informed when we booked our room that the place was under construction! Not in six months prior to arrival did they see fit to inform us. The sawing and banging of construction... more

I just happened across this review and when reading others reviews it brought to mind our stay in Madeariman beach club back in 2002. Fantastic....we have stayed in almost all of the Carribean islands in the top hotels, courtesy of my husbands company ! We were staying St. Martin at the time and took the ferry over to Anguilla for... more

My wife and I stayed at the Maderiman for 5 days in May, and it was an extremely warm and fuzzy expereince. Totally relaxing, no pretension, no attittude. Perfect for a low key getaway. We were looking for a break, but we were not a "resort" experience. Something a little more real and understated. Maderiman was perfect, and the kind... more

My husband and I stayed at the Madeariman two nights before heading over to the Cuisinart for 7 nights. There are many things I can say about this hotel but what truly stands out is the beautifull beach and sunsets. Upon arriving we were greeted by Thelma (right as we exited our cab) who was a hoot and full of... more

My husband and I just got back from our first trip to Anguilla. We spent 5 nights at the Madeariman Hotel. The people, the food, the swimming, and the hotel were excellent. You can't beat the beach (Shoal Bay). The staff are very accomodating. They will do anything if you just ask! They talked us into renting a car (we... more

We are 2 couples that stayed for almost 2 weeks at Madeariman and were extremely please with everything. Service was wonderful, everything very clean, large rooms that looked even better than the pictures. They kept is in a good supply of bottled water, towels and anything we asked for. Additionally after seeing many other places we had considered, I am... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in Feb.The room was not very nice. The shower barely had water trickling out. I couldn't wash my hair, didn't shower for 2 days. The bed was creeky and weak. The sheets were stained & the bedding icky. I was a little freaked out sleeping in the bed. For the $295 rate, it was... more

My husband and I just returned from Anguilla and a wonderful 6-night stay at Madeariman. We were surprised when we arrrived and our room (#5) even had a stove. #5 is very large, with a comfy, tastfully decorated front sitting area. The beach is just off the private deck, but there is plenty of foliage for privacy. This is the... more

My husband and I went during week of July 4th to Anguilla and were delightfully surprised by the warm people and gorgeous beaches. We especially loved Madeariman, located right on Shoal Bay East. After comparing Shoal Bay East to the other dozen beaches, we discovered that this one was the most beautiful of all. Loved being next door to Uncle... more
