Ive been to a few zoos in my life but this definitely has to be the best. There are heaps of animals to visit and I absolutely loved the very unique kangaroo enclosure - you can actually walk through it and pat the kangaroos! The Crocoseum was also a great show. The crocodiles were massive! You can really sense Steve... more

This is Steve Erwin's zoo and the tributes to him are all over the place (they actually got a bit old after a while). The zoo is well run and has a nice variety of animals. We went to see the animals specific to Australia, so didn't even visit the tigers, lions and elephants, but stayed with the crocs, kangaroos,... more

We drove from Gold Coast (2 hours drive) to visit what we thought would be something special. We were very very disappointed with Australian Zoo. The 'Crocoseum' was supposed to be the highlight but was completely boring and very disappointing, everyone left with mumbles of "Was that it?". There are not that many animals here, indeed we found that there... more

I've been to London Zoo, San Diego Zoo, Singapore Zoo and now Australia Zoo, which definitely ranks up there as one of the best zoos in the world. It's not only good because of Steve Irwin it's a great zoo with a collection of animals I've never seen anywhere else, with great demonstrations and also an important message of conservation... more

We had been looking forward to Australia Zoo after watching Steve Irwin on TV for many years. It certainly lived up to expectations with well maintained facilities and an extremely professional and amusing show in the Crocoseum. Met many animals as we walked around the zoo as the keepers take the animals out of the enclosures. Elephants came out for... more

We took the train from Roma St. station direct to Beerwah($8.40 per person/each way) where the zoo's free bus met the train and took us on the few miles to the park. At least the bus was free...as others reviews have noted it's $52 per adult to get in. Ouch! That's why I give it only and "above average" rating.... more

Every aspect of this top-notch zoo is first rate. The grounds are beautiful and sparkling clean. All of the staff members are very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. It is a big place, with several sections - they were working on the African area when we were last there. The animals are the stars of the park! Every kind imaginable live... more

Australia zoo is not the biggest zoo i have visited but it is probably the best. I went there by taking the train from Brisbane central ($16.40 return) to Beerwah station - takes about 1 hour 20 minutes - then there is a free australia zoo shuttle that takes you to the zoo about 5 minutes drive away from the... more

Myself and my wife took our grandson to Australia zoo and I can only describe our visit as outstanding. At the outset I thought the admission prices were relatively high but after a very short time in the zoo it becomes apparent just what good value it is. The Crocoseum show is unbelievable and I would be happy to pay... more

This zoo has many shows arranged. Steve Irvin is a hero in all respects! His wife and kids are following thier footsteps! It was a wonderful visit. All animals are well kept. The elephants feeding, birds feeding, the koalas, the kangaroo feeding, the tiger, the snakes, the crocodile show, each thing was really fun! more
