Previous reviews are right-on. This is a great place for photos and for the kids. Ferry ride is free from Canal Place to Algiers...quick ride across the Mississippi. First thing on the tour, you go to a small room and get to try on costumes and watch a history of the mardi gras parade. The best part is taking pictures with the costumes on. Very fun! You get the real feeling of Mardi Gras when you are there. It's a great tour with lots of history and information. My mom and I LOVED trying on all the head pieces they have worn in previous parades. They were really heavy on our heads but you felt gorgeous no matter what. We have great pictures of this place.... more

We weren't 100% sure about taking this tour. The price of admission seemed a little high and the location itself seemed out of the way.
