Plan on hitting the Visitor Center early to get a timed ticket to Independence Hall. Once you know when you will be allowed in to Independence Hall you can plan the rest of your day. You only get about 20 minutes inside the hall with a guide. The guide we had was great and had a great wealth of knowledge. more

We enjoyed Independence Hall. We had an excellent tour guide who was entertaining and informative for both kids and adults. I guess what guide you get is a matter of luck. But all the Park Sevice employees we met in Philadelphia were polite and well informed. Although tickets are free, you can get them in advance on-line for $1.50 each.... more
