Last year my daughter did the Kidsquest at Dolphinquest at the Hilton. It is only available for children aged 5-9. She loved it. This seemed worth the money. When we returned this year, I booked myself, dd age 10 and ds age 12 for the SeaQuest. This activity cost $350 per person. Quite pricey. I had high hopes for the... more

When we planned our vacation, my 26 year old handicapped daughter wanted to swim with the dolphins. It is best to book it in advance, so that you have more of a pick of times, we did prior to going. The staff was very accomodating in letting us help plan where to get the wheelchair in place to make it... more

Dolphin Quest was a most memorable experience! Makana (means "gift" in Hawaiian) was the name of the boy dolphin I got to spend time with. He is 4 years old. They are unbelievable animals, very friendly and always seem to have a smile on their face. Very knowledable trainers and great place to enjoy the experience. It's pricey, but worth... more

This was the most amazing experience for myself and children. I would recommend it above and beyond anythin you could imagine. The staff is excellent and the dolphins are darling, gentle and beautiful. If you have the opportunity I would jump at the chance. more

We were there in May 2005 and took our daughter (6 yrs old) in the Dolphin Quest childrens program. It was a great experience! I would also recommend spending the extra money to have them record your child's experience on a dvd. (I also recorded using my camera, but wasn't able to get the underwater shots they did.) My daughter,... more

My husband and I loved this. It was such a beautiful place and we really appreciated the chance to meet the dolphins and learn about them and their environment. We were able to stroke them, hold them and swim with them, and it was one of the most wonderful experiences we have had. Expensive, yes, but so worth while and... more

In the spring of 2004 I fulfilled a dream of being in the water with dolphins at the Dolphin Qwest institute in Hawaii. No, you don't get to frolic freely with the dolphins and yes, you do have to listen to educational talks about the dolphins and our enviornment. Listen up, it is very important. However, these are for all... more

Dolphin quest was a thousand dollars for my family of 5,I did not feel it was worth the price. My children enjoyed a experience of a lifetime and thats priceless, however there were a couple of things I did not like. First, your not allowed to freely touch the dolphin if you reach out to touch it your almost scolded making it... more

We had a wonderful time with the Dolphin Quest Adult Encounter. My 13-year-old daughter and I spent a half-hour in the water with the dolphins and time has never flown so fast. We appreciated the educational nature of the program and opportunity to interact with more than one dolphin. The facility was beautiful, the staff very helpful, and the dolphins... more

We just got back from our trip to the Big Island and while we were there my son age 6 took part in the Dolphin Quest childrens program. What an incredible experience. He was able to spend about 20 minutes in the lagoon with a Dophin and then about 45 minutes with the trainers learning all about sea animals and... more
