June 2008 - Decided to visit the historical center while staying in Cody. This a very nice place and had interesting things for adults, teenagers and younger kids. Even though we were tired from a day of driving, we enjoyed being able to walk through the exhibits here for a couple of hours. Price is a little high $40 for... more

If you are traveling in this area, take the time to visit this magnificient center. You can take photos inside which is wonderful. Unfortunately I only had a short time to visit, but it was so worth it & anyone interested in the West will surely enjoy it. more

My husband and I ended up in Cody Wyoming not by design, but by last minute change of plans necessitated by car trouble during a planned trip. Trying to make the best of things, we decided to spend a couple of days in Cody. Family members had told us not to miss the Buffalo Bill Historical Center which they said... more

It's called the "Smithsonian of the West" for good reason. Each of the five museums contain amazing objects and works of art, displayed in some of the most beautiful and sophisticated museum exhibits you will see anywhere. The Buffalo Bill museum chronicles the man who did more to publicize and create the mythology of the "wild west." The artifacts are... more

My husband wanted to see the Remington Arms museum which is part of the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum. We spent nearly all of the first full day, in Cody, at the museum, the first 3 hrs in the gun collection and then went back the following morning for about 3 more hours. The remaining museum sections are great and worth... more

I had heard about this place and it lives up to the hype. Fascinating artifacts and very well presented. I particularly liked the natural history section. We were there first thing in the morning and by the afternoon it was starting to get crowded so I recommend an early start. Surprisingly the cafe was reasonable and good value so we... more

I agree with most of the posters that BBHC is awesome! I have no interest in Buffalo Bill and didn't know much about him until the trip to Cody. I still loved the museum. I am from outside of DC and have been to the Smithsonians countless times on field trips, etc, and this is right up there with them... more

When we were told the BBHC charged $15 per person to enter, we were a little shocked. HOWEVER, this admission prices is good for TWO days!!!! My husband absolutely loved the Gun Museum which had 2,700 guns! My favorite was the Buffalo Bill Museum. I had NO idea he was so intelligent. For a man who left home at 14... more

One of the finest museums we’ve ever visited. Wear comfortable shoes, you’re going to be here for a while. The Buffalo Bill Historical Center is actually several museums in one. The Buffalo Bill Museum features effects from the public and private life of William Cody and includes a nice exhibit on sharpshooter Annie Oakley. The Draper Museum of Natural History... more
