I agree that 5 stars isn't enough. If you visit PR and you miss out on Playa Flamenco, you've wasted a trip- in my humble opinion. I lived in PR for a few years when stationed there with the Navy, and I can't think of anywhere I would rather have spent my time than on this beach. It's large, clean,... more

We visited Culebra the beginning of June 08. We flew in from Fajardo because our flight into San Juan was late and we missed the ferry. The flight was very convenient, quick, and beautiful. It was a little bit of an adventure in such a small plane; our 3yr old was quite frightened. We stayed 2 nights at the Palmetto... more

I read reviews about the ferry before I went to Puerto Rico, so when I saw a brochure for a high-speed catamaran trip (East Island Excursions) to Flamenco Beach, we jumped on it. IT IS THE WAY TO GO!!! No ferry...................just get on the boat in Fajardo and off you go. The bonus is that is takes HALF the time... more

My husband and I went to Flamenco Beach on a boat tour. The boat first took us to another part of the island to snorkel and Flamenco Beach was our second stop where we anchored for a few hours. We were blown away by the soft white sand and the crystal clear waters. We felt like we were in a... more

This was my second trip to Flamenco Beach. The first time was a few years ago, my children and I came during spring break....Word of advice...Don't Do It!!! Not during spring break!! The beach was fine, it's just a big hassle if you're taking the ferry from Fajardo,PR. Way too many people!! This time, it was just myself and my... more

Flamenco Beach is one of the most beautiful place you will ever see. Secluded, undeveloped beach on Culebra, a small island off the coast of Puerto Rico. Voted as one of the top 10 beaches in the world by numerous publications. The ferry ride is about an hour and a half, and was actually pretty unpleasant when we went. However,... more

We arrived at Fajardo early in the morning around seven o'clock and the dock was crowded with locals (it was around June and school had just finished.) To our dismay, the ferry arrived three hours late and we had to wait in the heat. It was pretty bad. However, the ferry arrived in time and it wasn't crowded on the... more

Great beach, very clean and relaxing. A must see beach for anyone traveling to Puerto Rico. MY recommendation is to avoid the ferry lines and take one of the small airlines (VAL, Isla Nena, Air Flamenco) from Fajardo or San Juan. $30 one way gets you there in 20 minutes. Not quite as secluded as Red Beach on Vieques, but... more
