This park is definitely out of the way, but once you go, you will be glad you did. My kids had so much fun, they didn't want to leave. I have a teenager and a pre-teen; they played hide-and-seek among the rocks. It is so different that the other parks we visited in Utah; you can actually go and explore... more

Our last stop of the day was Goblin Valley State park where wind and water have carved fantastic and unique goblin-like sculptures out of rock. They look like very weird creatures, especially at sundown. From an overlook, you can walk down and amongst these formations. Absolutely loved this little park. Located off Hwy 24 in between Moab and Capitol Reef. Unlike any of the other desert parks. The whole place is filled with rock goblins ranging from 6 feet to 200 feet high. This place makes all the children jump, hop and run around crazy. When travelling across Utah, don't miss Goblin Valley State Park. The campground is excellent, and the park is chock full of beautiful terrain to explore! more
