We visited the Adam's House in June 2008. The tour guide was wonderful and had so much history on the home. It has all the original furniture in the home with is not very common with older home. Everything in this elegant old home originally belonged to this home. Lovingly preserved, it is a fascinating piece of history with a fascinating history. more

The amazing thing about the Adams House is that everything in it -- down to the tea towels, even -- are original to the house. The story of how that happened is fascinating in itself. We are fans of the HBO Series Deadwood, and we learned a lot at the Adams House, about the town, and about the people of Deadwood. The tour starts on the hour, so we had to wait a bit in the quaint gift shop, but our guide was great, she put up with all of our questions, she gave us... more
