The Coastal Discovery Museum is obviously a labor of love, and a work in progress of interested locals. But it is still in the working stages, and there isn't much to see. We came here for the "Get to know a Gator" program. It required tickets which we bought in advance online and glad we did. They had to turn some people down because there was not enough seats. It was outdoors behind the museum under trees so it was nice and shaded. There are benches to sit on. He had live... more

The same building houses the Hilton Head Island Chamber of Commerce and the Coastal Museum. The museum is not very big, but it is worth your time to see. Most of the exhibits are about the sea life found in the area. more
