Good trip to take in the middle of the day when the sun is too hot for the beach in the summer. We did see a gator up close, 1st time in 3 trips to various parts of the Everglades. Be sure to stop in to the Gator show afterwards. Some of the stunts the guys performs is downright scary. more

I did the 1 hour airboat ride and saw the brief gator show after which was ok. What made this experience worthwhile was seeing two gators in the swamp- not sure it would have been worth it had I not seen them. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of trees and birds. Didn't like that the tour guide begged for tips-... more

We went to Everglades Holiday Park looking for something different to do on a somewhat rainy day. We all had a great time, granted it is somewhat of a tourist trap, we all came away with great pictures and even better memories of this place. The guide we had was very good at finding all sorts of wildlife including an... more

It was exactly what we were looking for -- Old School Florida, an authentically funky place, and a fine value for the money. It's totally non plastic, but clean and friendly. The food shop isn't overpriced. It's a good, long boat ride, and the scenery is beautfiul. Our guide had a microphone and we could hear everything, and he stopped... more

Had my travel trailer and stayed here 3 nights while waiting for dear wife to join me. Campground was more for a transcient crowd than campers, but people were pleasant.. Some construction workers, etc. in the area staying ther, also quite a few older trailers for permanent residents. Park clean enough, but crowded. Water, electric, sewer or water, electric with dump station.Reasonable price. Store, boat rentals, fishing, dockage ,airboat rides,gator... more

My wife and I went to Holiday Park after a cruise. The airboat ride interesting. The driver seemed entusiastic, but rehearsed. He requested a tip after the ride and I gave him one. We saw 3 alligators, a racoon, and many birds. After the airboat ride, we saw a "alligator wrestler" show that lasted about 10 minutes. That guy must... more

We had to stay overnight in Fort Lauderdale after a cruise, and needed something to do in the afternoon with three kids who were coming off their first cruise (and therefore used to something new and great everyday!) We saw the ad for Everglades Holiday Park in the local South Florida guide which had a coupon for $3 off adults... more

Holiday Everglades Park is run down, a dump... the toilets are filthy. We took the one hour "guided" airboat ride in Jan 2008. We saw 2 alligators. Unfortunately, no one could hear what the guide was saying. He sits up on top of the boat, you cannot see him, and the sound of his voice was barely coming in. You... more

We were there Dec. 29, 2007 and had a great time! It was one of those experiences where we couldn't quite tell if it was authentic or tacky or just tacky enough to be authentic -- doesn't matter though, we really enjoyed ourselves. Right down to the gruff paranoid-drunk-sounding-conspiracy-theory type of guide - it was perfect old school south Florida,... more

We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Park. I can highly recommend going there, we had a truly amazing experience. We took the trip on the airboat and we had a local resident as the captain. He was very informed about the everglades, the wildlife and the plants. He put his heart in his job. It was low season... more
