Went to the pyramids in December 07. Takes about 2 hours across Cairo from the airport in the worst traffic I've ever seen. What can you say when you stand in front of the pyramids - truly awesome sight. Just a word of warning though be very careful of offers to ride camels etc. They use intimidation and threats to extort money out of you. three members of our tour group had bad experiences.
