This attraction has many good reviews but having spent 3 days at the park I feel many are completely overblown and just plain wrong. It is supposed to be a conservation project but it is nothing of the sort. More like a tourist attraction playing the ever popular green eco tourist card so popular in Thailand. I was totally disappointed.... more

There are many Elephant Parks and shows around Chiang Mai, but if you have a conscience about the treatment of elephants then this is the place to visit. Lek's park is off the beaten track and in a place where the animals are free to roam as they please in the mountains to the north of Chiang Mai. Here there... more

I went on the day trip here and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get up close and experience elephants. I am conscientious of animal cruelty and exploitation, so I did my homework and found this spot to be the most highly rated. Please go to the Elephant Nature Park. Do not go on an elephant ride. Do... more

Went to the park with my boyfriend on 20th June 08 and loved it, we only did the one day trip as we didn't have much time or money. It is definitely worth the 2,500 Baht as it includes transport, lunch, English speaking guide and many activities. Your first stop is the market where you pick up fruit for the... more

I volunteered here in March 08 which was an experience well worth while, spending a week living & working with elephants is unforgettable. The park is such a great charity, elephants are badly treated in Thailand & all over the world but here they are treated with respect & love where they are. Living at the park for a week,... more

We went there at the end of April. Lek - you have done a fantastic job, need not say any more. If only there were more people like you in Thailand. The volunteers and staff at the park do a fantastic job too, special mention to Chai and Earn, who both did well to keep us entertained during the Q&A... more

My wife and I visited the Elephant Nature foundation park for a day in March 08. I am the big elephant fan but my wife loved the park too. My only negative comment is that I think there is too much down time in the afternoon while we went on a walk around the park. But the park is not... more

All I can say is that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The elephants were gorgeous and we had so much time to interact with them including hand feeding and washing in the river - I even got a kiss from Hope - the naughty elephant! The staff were informative, fun and doing such a... more

I was worried I had made a mistake after reading negative posts prior to my departure to Thailand. Now, afterwards, I cannot understand where those negative posts were coming from. This was one of the most incredbile experiences. My husband and I were very moved by this place, and we now feel that we would like to do more to... more
