Althorp is only open to the public during the months of July and August.; we took a day tour via Gray Line Tours, London. What a beautfiful and serene place to live, as the current Earl of Spencer and his family do. If visiting London the train ride was about an hour and then once you arrive at Northampton about 10-15 min taxi drive. We had a wonderful taxi driver who gave us lots of history on both Northamptonshire and Althorp. Days out at althorp house have been excellent but at the same time sad to know that the lovley princess Diane lay there i am thinking of her son,s and brother on this 6 years of her death god bless her may she rest in peace in a lovley place more

Althorp is located about an hour outside of London. It is the ancestral home of Diana, Princess of Wales. There are numerous exhibits about different times in Diana's life (childhood, marriage, charity work, etc).
