Playa Corona....I was shocked to find it on the internet! What a great place to kick back and relax after riding our scooter in search of snorkeling! Pretty good snorkeling [did boat tour last time], great service, great nachos, great beer. This place would make a good Corona commercial. Very friendly waiter and only a handful of people, being that... more

On our stay in Cozumel, in January 2007, we came upon this neat outdoor cafe and beach. We asked a member of the staff at the resort we were staying at for some (off of the beach) snorkeling destinations. This was one of the suggestions. After about a brief 10 minute cab ride from Holiday Village White Sands (formerly Allegro... more

How lucky we got! When we rented our mopeds in Cozumel the agent pointed us in the direction of Playa Corona, what a great suggestion! We had a wonderful day hanging out at this quant little restaurant/snorkel shop. The food was great and the snorkeling even better. I would highly suggest anyone wanting to hang-out without a lot of traffic... more

We took a nightmare of a Carnival cruise which stopped in cozumel. The cruise was not our cup of tea, blasting dance music in every corridor and packed with drunk spring-breakers and a very crass crowd overall. When we arrived at the cozumel cruise port, we darted for a cab which we took to playa corona. It is a little... more

We just returned from a week in Cozumel - our 25th year. Playa Corona remains one of our favorite places. The snorkeling is getting better than after the hurricanes, more fish and greater varity. And you go in right off the shore...no need for a boat. In fact the dive boats stop right there and those people are paying to... more

While staying at the Iberostar, we rented a Jeep for a day trip around the island. We were pleased to run upon the quaint, family-owned beach club, Playa Corona. We stopped at several clubs around the island, but Playa Corona had the best service and best snorkeling by far. The club is recovering from the hurricane after much damage to... more

My family and I enjoyed at day at Playa Corona over the Christmas Holiday 2005. The beach was beautiful, the atmosphere just right and there were only about 10-15 other people there. We enjoyed chips and fresh salsa at the Cantina, buckets of Corona and the sun and sand. My husband and I ventured out on a Jet-Ski to enjoy... more

This is an excellent snokeling spot. The water is a gorgeous crystal blue with wonderful visablility. The flora and fauna are stunning. It is a great spot for both experienced and begining snokelers. The local guides are very knowlegeble and are a great help. I actually lost count of the different species of fish I saw. They have a large... more

this rest/bar/beach provides direct access from the beach to a reef that many tour boats bring passengers. it is a bit of a swim(most relaxing one though) from the beach but the fish and underwater sights are incredible.the beer is cold and salsa hot..if you are really ambitious a beach volleyball game with some locals did it for me more

Just south of Chankanaab is Playa Corona, which shares access to the Yucab reef and offers the same brilliant marine fauna and wonderful flora as the park next door. The crowds that visit Chankanaab haven't yet discovered this traquil neighboor. I was having trouble finding anything on this park hope this helps. snorkling equipment, restaurant, drinks and NO CROWDS WOW more
