Simply put, don't waste your time. Anything that us at the International bazaar you can find at the Port Lucaya Marketplace. Besides that, once you get a bus ride to the IB, it is hard to get anywhere else because the buses don't run by there very frequently/ more

Our second day in Freeport we went tot he Bazaar. There are so many stores it takes you around 2-3 hours to see them all. Make sure you barter for a lower price on things you're bying you usually can save $3-10 at each store. While we were shopping a band came through. Tons of fun. more

Visited 12/30/04. The International Bazaar was basically deserted. Ostensibly, this is because the adjacent resort/casino complex is still closed because of the hurricanes. Go to the perfume factory, take lots of pix in lobby of family etc. Pretty good prices, make sure lids are tight for travel home. When you go to beverage store compare prices. Some stores are cheaper. Found some rum cheaper at Port L. write your prices, then buy when ready. Liked the choices of food better at Port L.... more
