Beautiful! I loved this beach! We went running along the beach to get some exercise, took dips in the refreshing water in between tanning, drank pina coladas and ate tapas from the snack shop. Complete Serenity! C: more

I went to San Juan for Spring Break with my family in April of 2006. I had an awesome time there, other than Lhuquillo Beach! I was very excited to go there, as I heard it was so beautiful. My sister and I were splashing around in the water when I noticed a young man about my age at the... more
The sand is cream colored, the texture is fine, not rough, feels good going through your toes. The water is beautiful with a 2 tone look, turcuise where its shallow and dark blue where its deep. 3 types of beaches. (1)Family - serene water with a palm tree forest.(2) For the young crowd - awesome for body surfing and hanging... more
Luqillo Beach is the best ever! My wife and I spent the most part of a glorious day walking the beaches; following the white Egrets from point to point, or post to post. We brought home a palm branch, and it has seeded down wonderfully. We recommend Luquillo Beach to anyone.....especially for anyone physically challenged. bulldog902@hotmail.com more
The beach was okay - after being to Hawaii and the Caribbean it was not as blue or nice as their beaches. The sand was hard and not the fine soft sand you find in the islands. The beach has a lot of amenities such as a great changing room with showers for a very small fee. I was kind... more
My 16 year old son spent 4 hours out in the water without returning to shore! If you go to the end of the beach where the camping area is, you will be outside of the designated swimming area. You can walk out so far that you are barely seen on the beach and still be waist-high! There are little... more
We visited Luqullio beach after a visit to El Yunque. It is a less than a couple miles away from the turn-off on Rte 3. for El Yunque. Upon arrival at the gate we were charged a couple bucks for parking. Was surprised, but at the same time we weren’t. It was a nice paved parking lot. The bath houses... more
I have never before seen such an inviting beach that entices you to spend a considerable amount of time there just lounging about. The setting is gorgeous, palm trees lining the bay with the forest in the background. The water is relatively calm and easy to swim in with gently sloping sand to an extended shallow water area. The trees... more
After a day of waves, sun, and sand at Luquillo beach, head over to the food kiosks for dinner at numero dos. Cafe La Parillia has fantastic food and delicious drinks at reasonable prices. Don't let the run down nature of some of the kiosks put you off. La Parillia is a great place to have a relaxed meal or... more
Luquillo Beach is one of the most awesome beaches on Earth. I owned a scuba shop for 5 years and have seen tons of beaches. It's nice to see the locals believe in keeping it clean! The food at the small eatery along the beach is sooo cheap and so very good! The gorgeous water is contrasted by the terrific... more
