I saw a lot of negative reviews on this hotel and knew that it was built many years ago, so we were dreading having to deal with a run-down property in dire need of a facelift. California Wildfires
Almost all residents and workers have been evacuated from the popular scenic region of Big Sur. A 30-mile stretch of coastal Highway 1 has been closed. The blaze has already burned more than 64,000 acres of forest. Another major fire in the Ventana Wilderness and the Los Padres National Forest has also forced evacuations.

I was amazed to find this place open till 3 am on weekends..i love the decor and great service..The beef swarma was great and the hummus and baba ganoosh.Lots of wine and desserts to choose from. more

Stayed here with girlfriend for a week as temp housing during a business move out of town. It was a very nice hotel, as all Westin Hotels are, but nothing to get too excited about. Bathrooms are a little wierd, pocket doors and no vent fan. Take a shower and it is a sauna for an hour. But the room... more
