nice place, you need to travel about in car round here to see or do anything apart from go to the resteraunt why people complain i do not know as all you have to do is open a gate by the mariner and walk ten yards to some of the best food that money can buy. the pools are very... more
Their website boasts many restaurants but in reality only one exists. Don't sit outside on the terrace (although the view is great in the evenings) unless you bathe in bug spray. The beach leaves a lot to desire. Its great if you just need a place to sleep, but pricey for that. Two words: bug spray! more
I went with my 13 year old son, 18 month old daughter, husband, and grandparents. We rented the entire house, upstairs and downstairs that faces the water. We had plenty of room and we felt very comfortable, just like being at home. The couple that run the motel were absolutely amazing. They really took such personalized care of me and... more
Sundowner's is a great little place, tucked away between another restaurant and huge condo/bar at mile marker 104. Look for the sign and make sure to turn into the correct parking lot. Senior Frijoles is also on the same property. Do not heed the bad reviews... Sundowner's is awesome and has been my favorite for about 10 years. Every bar/restaurant... more

On March 28, 2008 we entered into an agreement with the owner to rent their unit H-12 at the Kawama Yacht Club in Key Largo, Florida for the period of August 2 - 9, 2008. They have the property listed on Vacation Rentals.com website which is where we found it under Listing #31377. At the time of rental, we advised... more
My husband and I were in Key Largo on a diving trip and we decided to eat there since it was next to the dive shop. Nasty doesn't begin to describe it. There was this awful smell of sewage where it evidently vents outside where we were eating. I almost threw up! I don't recommend it if this is a... more
We love the Rock Reef Resort. The staff is great. We stayed at the same cottage 3 different weekends, always clean. The staff is very accomodating. The sunsets are beautiful, the tiki hut and sea wall are great for watching the water and the manatees that come up. The hammocks are so relaxing. My kids love the beach area and... more

I spent the first week of August 2008 in Key Largo, diving at least twice daily with Rainbow Reef. I had the time of my life. I had just returned from two weeks in Cozumel. The visibility was not quite as good as Cozumel, but the diving was awesome. The dives were almost all deep dives, many being wreck dives. Brad,... more
Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt! After my husband and I booked this hotel we started reading the negative reviews, to which our hopes quickly plummeted. We went with a wait and see attitude and I'm so glad we did not cancel. This is not the most lavish Marriott property I have stayed at but it's not... more
Upon arriving, this property in the Florida Keys was the perfect , simple yet accomodating getaway for pure relaxation and beautiful sunsets! It's off the beaten path of US 1, yet located midway between Key Largo for snorkeling and Islamorada for boating and sightseeing. I liked the king size suite with Jacuzzi tub and room for comfort. Some of the... more
We stayed here last summer when it was a Sheraton. I saw no change from Sheraton to Hilton other than a different color bedspread and a flat screen tv. A/C still doesn't work right, front desk staff not friendly. Carribean Watersports now has some teenage guy running the show under the direction of the owner (or some older guy) and... more
I selected Keys Diver based on recommendations from the TripAdvisor forums. Overall, we were pleased with our choice. What we liked: - The two men staffing the boat were professional yet easygoing and fun. The how-to instruction talk at the beginning was very thorough. They take safety seriously! - The equipment seemed to be of good quality. I had no... more
I had read lots of reviews before booking this (good and bad) and was hoping we would have a good experience.... I was not disappointed! It was fantastic!!! The talk was fun and informative thanks to Kevin(?) and we then got split into groups of 3 or 4. I swam in the structured program with Squirt (about to give birth... more
This was our second stay at Dove Creek. We had such a brilliant time when we stayed here two years ago that we wanted to stay here again on our journey down to Key West. We stayed with friends this time in a two bedroom suite and yet again the interior was absolutely lovely and we were all very comfortable... more

I have just returned from a trip to Florida. I spent two days at the Marina Del Mar and it was just fine for our purpose which was a place to stay whilst exploring the area and driving down to key west. An upscale hotel with lots of amenities would have been a waste. I think this is why the... more
