I visited Irkutsk and Baikal Lake in June 2008 and stayed at this hotel because it is close to the airport, as well as right on the way to Baikal Lake. The room was decent, with the usual standard amenities. Mini bar was priced at close to normal market rates, without much extra mark-up that is found is most hotels.... more

We stayed here for two nights on a stop off on the trans siberian train from Moscow to Beijing. The lobby etc are nice and we felt happy with the hotel until we saw our room on the right hand side of the sixth floor. It was horrible: the door and windows didn't shut properly, the wall paper was peeling... more
Victory Hotel

We stayed at the victory hotel two separate nights (before/after lake baikal). The interior felt a little cheap, but the room was clean and modern (we booked a renovated room for 160$ instead of 140$). When we entered the room for the first time the toilet flushes all the time. But this was fixed very quickly. The location is excellent... more
