Our family of 5 felt so lucky to have found Strawberry Fields. Tucked away in a lush landscape, Strawberry Fields encompasses one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The plantlife on the property is rich and tropical, the staff are warm and friendly and the hosts were lovely! We left Strawberry Fields after 4 nights to see... more

My wife and I went to Strawberry Fields for our 25th wedding anniversary. We wanted to get a real Jamaican experience instead of staying at an all inclusive. We made the right decision. Kim and her staff were wonderful. My wife and I got the package with the Moolight Magic Cottage, breakfast and lunch and 2 full day and 2... more

Celebrated 50th year of life here as gift from my son. Kim Chase and her partner Everett were fantastic hosts. The cottage (Cockatiel) we had was not modern by any means but clean and comfortable. The ATV tour was spectacular and the beach side lunch was better than a meal at any 5 star restaraunt here in the states. The... more

Weeks after our far too short a stay at Lime Tree Farm, my wife and I continue to reflect back on, and delight in sharing with friends and travelers, our extremely fond memories of Lime Tree Farm. Perched atop a beautiful hill high up in the verdant Blue Mountains of Jamaica, Lime Tree Farm offers comfortable, well-appointed cottage accommodations with... more

Sublime is just one word to describe a few days we spent at Lime Tree Farm. The road up is SHOCKING but that is part of the fun of being away from home, sort of. The views are wonderful; if you suffer from jetlag the sunrises are fantastic in the morning as a tonic. The cottages are light really spacious... more

Blue Mountains Jamaica - Lime Tree farm - Jan 2008 Just returned from a great holiday in Jamaica and one of the highlights was Lime Tree Farm set amongst glorious mountain views in the Blue Mountains. The cottages are well furnished and spotlessly clean and the views from them are stupendous. The food is excellent - cooked by Susie and... more

My fiancé and I spent just 4 nights here, but we were so relaxed by the time we left it felt like weeks. Lime Tree Farm is a really special place that feels totally removed from the world outside. There is no internet or TV and only intermittent mobile reception, and getting there is a bumpy 1hr 30mins drive from... more

Hi we spent a very relaxing time at Lime Tree in one of the beautiful cottages with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. Many thanks to Charlie and Susie for making our break so special, not forgetting of course the enigmatic Leroy. Keith Piper & Tracey Menyena more

First off I am giving Strawberry Fields Together formerly Sonrise Beach Retreat a five for a rating because the overall stay was wonderful, no place can beat the hospitality and great people there. My husband and I went to SFT for our honeymoon 7/2/07-7/9/07. First off if you are looking for disco's, partying, confining yourself to a resort, crazy tourists,... more

Six years ago, my husband and I made our first trip to Jamaica on the occasion of our 25th Wedding Anaversary. We loved the all inclusive resort we stayed in, but felt we wanted to see the real Jamaica. However, we were timid about stepping ourside the comfort of the usual tourist sites. Two years ago we did the bicycle... more

Lime Tree Farm is a unique, affordably priced mountain top ecotourism destination near Kingston, Jamaica was recently written up in the Jamaican Sunday Observer and is described as having a beauty more profound and diverse than you will find on any postcard. A statement which I completely agree with and wish I had the vocab to re-write it in a... more

I have been going to Jamaica consistently for almost 30 years over 2.5 dozen times. I decided to get away from the tourist areas completely and try something different. I found Sonrise Retreat the old Strawberry Fields property. Kim Chase is the owner and resides with her family on the property. This is the ‘real’ Jamaica! 18 acres on thousands... more

A hike up Jamaica’s tallest peak (7,200 feet) should be on everyone’s agenda if at all possible. The trail is relatively well-marked but all in all if you are new to Jamaica or to this hike, you might consider a guide. We benefited from a friend who has been up more than 20 times and regularly guides people up the... more

First of all, it is a scary ride to reach 5000 feet above sea level on Jamaica's roads. It is a long and nervous ride but ithe beauty of the scenery is worth it. I was so glad I made it. The landscape around the inn is the handiwork of God. It is a beautiful place. I will admit that... more

We just returned from our second visit to Starlight Chalet this year, and again, had a wonderful time. This time, we stayed for four nights. This hotel offers a true Jamaican country experience. It is kind of like "over the river and through the woods, to grandmother's house", if your grandma was a Jamaican lady. They have about a dozen... more

The hotel is a bit run-down, the rooms are basic to say the least. Breakfast and dinner are also not going to be the highlight of the trip. The cook offers chicken or fish (with lots of bones) or nothing for evening meal. You don't fancy that? Tough, there isn't anything else for miles. Luckily I dared to ask for... more

Leads to a little bit of heaven!!! And lest you ever doubted it, God is a woman and her name is Miss Amy. Starlight Chalet is Amy's domain and she is determined you will have every need catered for. One of the most restful, peaceful spots on the island. Don't go there if you're looking for island shows, cable TV, or sandy beaches. Go there to see wonderful people and scenery. Go there to enjoy the rpeacefulness of the evenings or early mofrnings. Starlight Chalet has been a stop-over on three separate occasions. Each time we've enjoyed the site... more

Previous reviews that have described the great beauty of this place are 'right on'. You can hear the surf from your cottage AND the food (served at b-fast & dinner) is great. If you are looking for a totally isolated setting, Sonrise is it! The cottages are quite shabby, however, not worth the price of a nice hotel. All I wanted... more
