we stayed at the occidental july 2-9th. the only thing nice about the hotel was the doorman. we paid $11,500 for five people (including air from nyc ) for seven nights. you were only allowed to make reservations for four nights at the restaurants. the other three nights you had to go the morning of to make a reservation for... more

The Caribbean Palm Village is a below average resort. I booked this resort by use of my timeshare. Upon arrival, my wife and I spirits fell because the resort was not close to the beach, restaurants, or appealing. We contemplated on going to the Hyatt and forgiving the use of the timeshare. We litterally spent weeks reviewing our options for our stay in Aruba and decided to try an all inclusive because we liked the idea of not having to leave our resort and we would have many options for food and drinks and just be able to relax.
